Getting Started
Importing from another reader
Bring your subscriptions over from Feedly, Inoreader, NetNewsWire, and more using an OPML file.
Updated
Switching readers shouldn’t mean rebuilding your subscriptions by hand. Nearly every RSS app can export an OPML file — a standard file that lists all your feeds — and Newsbin imports it in one step.
Import into Newsbin
- Export an OPML file from your current reader (see the links below).
- In Newsbin, open the Welcome screen or Settings.
- Choose Import OPML and select your file.
What happens on import:
- Your feeds appear under Followed.
- Groups from your old reader become smart groups (or folders) in Newsbin.
- Duplicates are handled automatically, so importing twice won’t clutter your list.
Exporting OPML from popular readers
| Reader | Where to export |
|---|---|
| Feedly | feedly.com/i/opml |
| Inoreader | Preferences → Import/Export/Backup |
| NewsBlur | Preferences → Download OPML |
| NetNewsWire | File → Export Subscriptions |
| Outlook | Common Feed List → Export |
After importing
- Give your new feeds a moment to fetch their latest articles.
- If you imported on one device, your other devices will catch up through iCloud sync.
- Want to leave later? You can export your feeds from Newsbin at any time. No lock-in is a core principle.
