Apple Watch
Read your drafts on your wrist, capture new ideas by dictation, edit a post, and share it from the watch.
Updated
Postout on Apple Watch keeps your drafts close and lets you capture an idea the moment you have it. It syncs with your other devices through iCloud.
Reading drafts
The watch shows your recent drafts in a list, with platform colors along each row. Tap a draft to read each platform’s version.
Tap the sort button to change the order or filter the list to one platform.
Capturing a new idea
Tap the pencil button and dictate or scribble your idea. It’s saved as a new draft and syncs to your other devices.
The watch doesn’t send requests to AI providers itself. To turn the idea into posts, open the draft on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac and create from there. Or ask Siri to draft a post, which runs on your iPhone. See Shortcuts, Siri, Spotlight, and widgets.
Editing a post
In a draft, tap the pencil to dictate replacement text. By default it edits the first platform’s post. To pick which platform to edit, open the draft’s Options and choose a platform first.
Sharing and deleting
Open a draft’s Options to:
- Share it through Messages or another app on the watch
- Delete it
Copying to the clipboard and opening websites aren’t available on watchOS. For those, use your iPhone.
Handoff
Reading a draft on your watch? Your iPhone can pick up the same draft through Handoff, so you can copy it and post from there.
