Pricing and unlocking
Seven days free, then a single one-time purchase. How the trial works, what stays free forever, Family Sharing, restoring, and promo codes.
Updated
Postout is free to download and free for seven days with everything included. After that, a single one-time purchase unlocks it for good. There’s no subscription.
The free week
Your trial starts during setup, on the Free for a Week step. It covers every device signed in to your Apple Account, so using Postout on your iPhone and Mac doesn’t give you two weeks, and deleting and reinstalling the app doesn’t restart it.
Check how much time is left in Settings → Unlock Postout.
What stays free, always
When the week ends, only creating new drafts is locked. You can still:
- Open, read, and search everything in History
- Edit and copy existing drafts
- Change your settings, platforms, topics, and tone tags
- Use Postout on Apple Watch
Nothing you made is ever held back.
Unlocking
Buy the lifetime unlock from Settings → Unlock Postout, or from the unlock screen that appears when you try to create a draft after your trial. One purchase covers:
- Every device signed in to your Apple Account: iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro
- Your family, through Family Sharing
Postout doesn’t charge per draft. If you use a cloud AI provider, that provider bills you directly for what you use. See Choosing an AI provider.
Restoring a purchase
On a new device or after reinstalling, Postout usually recognizes your purchase on its own. If it doesn’t, tap Restore Purchase in Settings → Unlock Postout. Make sure you’re signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you bought with.
Promo codes
Have a promotional code? Tap Redeem Code in Settings → Unlock Postout. On versions of macOS that can’t redeem in the app, the button opens the App Store’s redemption page instead.
Refunds
Purchases are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Testing the beta?
In TestFlight, the unlock is a sandbox purchase and you won’t be charged. See Joining the TestFlight beta.
