Writing drafts
Editing and rerolling drafts
Edit a draft in place, reroll one platform or the whole post, save your changes, and delete drafts you don't need.
Updated
A draft is a starting point, so Postout makes it easy to change.
Editing a single card
To edit a card’s text:
- Double-click (or double-tap) the text on the card, or
- choose Edit from the card’s … menu, or
- on Mac and iPad with a keyboard, select the card and press Return.
The Edit Post sheet opens. Make your changes and tap Save. Your edits are stored with the draft in History and sync to your other devices.
Rerolling one platform
Don’t like one card but the rest are fine? Choose Reroll from that card’s … menu. Postout rewrites just that platform’s draft and leaves the others alone.
Rerolling the whole post
With a draft open, the compose bar button reads Reroll. Change the idea in the compose bar if you like, adjust Post settings, and tap Reroll to regenerate every card. Postout asks you to confirm first, because this replaces the current results.
Saving
Save in a card’s … menu writes the current text back to the draft. It confirms with a checkmark.
Deleting
- One draft: with it open, use Delete Draft in the toolbar. Postout asks you to confirm, since there’s no undo.
- From the list: swipe left on a draft in History, or use its context menu.
- Several at once: see History, search, and filters.
- A single card within a draft: choose Delete from that card’s … menu.
Deleted drafts are removed from all your devices and from Spotlight.
