Postout is built so that your ideas are only seen by you and the AI provider you choose.

What Postout never does

• No account. There’s nothing to sign up for.
• No tracking or analytics. Postout contains no analytics or advertising code and collects nothing about how you use it.
• No Xetabit servers. Your drafts and ideas are never sent to us.
• No posting. Postout doesn’t connect to any social network and never publishes on your behalf.

What’s sent to your AI provider

When you create a draft, Postout sends the provider you selected:

• The idea you typed
• Your personality profile and Post Settings switches
• The topic and tone tags for that draft
• The instructions for each platform you’re drafting for
• The text of any linked pages, if your idea includes links

It goes directly from your device to that provider, under your own account and API key. With Apple Intelligence, it never leaves your device at all.

Each provider handles what it receives under its own privacy policy and your agreement with them. Check their terms if you want to know how long they keep requests or whether they use them for training.

Where your data lives

• Drafts, platforms, topics, and tone tags are stored on your devices and in your private iCloud database. See iCloud sync.
• API keys are stored in the Keychain, and in iCloud Keychain only if you turn that on.
• Linked pages are fetched by your device directly from the site.

Withdrawing access

Remove a provider in Settings → Models and its key is deleted immediately. No further requests are sent. To remove everything, see Resetting Postout.
