Organizing
Topics
Group related drafts together, steer a draft toward a subject, and let Postout file drafts for you.
Updated
Topics keep related drafts together, like Work, Running, or App updates. They also steer the draft: the topic is part of what Postout sends to the AI.
Choosing a topic
Pick one in Post settings → Topic before you create a draft. If you’ve selected a topic in the sidebar, new drafts start from that context.
Don’t want to pick? With Settings → General → Auto-Generate Topic on (the default), Postout files each draft under a fitting topic for you, reusing one you have or creating a new one.
Browsing by topic
Topics appear in the sidebar with a count of their drafts. Select one to filter History. All Topics shows everything, and No Topic shows drafts that weren’t filed.
Managing topics
In Settings → Topic Categories you can:
- Add a topic with a name and an icon.
- Edit a topic’s name or icon. Its drafts move with it.
- Delete a topic, or Clear All.
You can also add a topic from the sidebar’s + menu, or use Edit next to the Topics heading. Sort topics in Settings → General → Sorting by Manual, Name, or Count.
